MATCH REPORT:
Liban Espoir registered its first ever victory in the opening match of the Bristol 9s tournament. Facing the Rugby League Conference’s regional premiers Lebanon played a patient game, absorbing the heavier English side’s attacks and taking advantage of their superior speed. Pierre Nasr cut through the middle to score before limping off, playing no further part in the tournament. Alan Sultan added two more tries with Wassim Moumneh unerringly dropping all three goals.
