MATCH REPORT:
Host side Bristol Sonics were swept aside by Lebanon in the second group match of the tournament. Wassim Moumneh, Najy Bassil and George Helou all registered their first international tries, captain Mohamed Habbous added the sixth and final score, while Alan Sultan repeated his two try effort from game one. Balamand winger Bassil, one of the tourists’ most consistent performers, scored the pick of the tries, supporting a 50-metre break from NDU prop Tony Samarani who offloaded as he was brought to ground two metres from the goal line.
