The Espoirs needed a second half try from hooker Omar Darwish to see off a physically strong Aretians side in the final group match. Protecting a four-point lead Darwish stepped through the local side’s defence from dummy half, taking the score to an unbridgeable 16-4 and paving the Espoirs way to the final. Lebanon were 10-0 up at the break after two Mohamed Habbous tries before the Aretians forced their way back into the contest after the break.
