MATCH REPORT:

The Bank of Beirut Espoirs registered a sixth successive victory on Sunday in Bhamdoun, registering a six-tries-to-one victory over the President’s XIII. Centre Ghassan Dandash and fullback Riad Khoury both scored a pair of tries, with Robin Hachache and Mohamed Jamil rounding off the scoring. The Espoirs, who defeated the President’s XIII 32-11 in February and the UAE 48-18 a month later, have completed their schedule for the year, with full national team honours now up for grabs.

The match was scheduled as a trial for the Lebanon Cedars train-on squad, which will be announced later on Monday. The national team is participating in the RLEF’s Euro Med Challenge against Russia and Serbia, with the Cedars’ first match on 28th September in Russia. A week later Serbia will face off against Lebanon in Bhamdoun, on 5th October in the last match of the triangular tournament.

The Cedars squad will be selected in the first week of September.
