AUB moved to second in the table thanks to a 79th minute try by utility Mohamed Tawil that broke the 14-14 deadlock with Jounieh. The double champions drop to third, with games against USJ and LAU left to play.

A bad tempered, ill-spirited game ended with coaches Jean Paul Zakhour of Jounieh and his opposite Faysal Jaber engaging in unsavoury verbal exchanges that will attract the attention of the LRLF - on whose board both protagonists sit.

The Corniche-siders got off to the better start, with Cole Murray and Jad Baba touching down inside twenty minutes. Al-Galacitcos secured a lifeline when Hassan Merouwe scored in the 32nd minute. Jaber may have remembered his side's inability to put the Wolves away two weeks ago after controlling the first half, and when Ghassan Dandash scored two minutes after the restart it looked as though lightning was about to strike twice.

Danny Arbrid made it 14-10 on 52 minutes but the dependable Merouwe struck again five minutes later to level the scores. A tense finale ensued, broken dramatically by the fleet-footed Tawil.
